Team Information League Information Team Gear | SAC Coaching Staff 2011-2012 Steve Duncheskie, Aquatics DirectorSteve continues with SAC in his 7th year as Aquatics Director. He oversees the development of practices and serves as the primary link of communication between parents, board and the coaches. He is the head water polo coach and assistant swim coach for LaSalle High School, where he also teaches biology. He is a 1998 graduate of LaSalle University, where he also holds a masters degree in education. He was an Atlantic 10 champion and still holds a record in the 100 freestyle (look for it at champs!).
Lizanne Hendershott - Girls Head Coach This is Lizanne’s 7th year as coach and in her third year as the girls head coach. She swam for William Tennent High School in the 1970’s, was a high school All-American for four years, and still holds a school record in the 400 freestyle relay (look for it at the Odd Age Meet!. She attended Penn State where she swam and obtained an undergraduate degree in engineering. Lizanne obtained a Master’s degree in Elementary Education at Chestnut Hill College and currently teaches at Ancillae-Assumpta Academy.
Nick D’Orazio – Head Boys Coach Nick is beginning his first year with SAC and is very excited to be part of the team. Nick is a graduate of Archbishop John Carroll High School, where he swam for their varsity swim team. He is finishing his Elementary Education degree from Cabrini College, currently student teaching 4th grade at Blue Bell Elementary. During the summer, Nick is the head coach at Flourtown Swim Club. Welcome to SAC, Nick!
Meg Ehling - Diving Head CoachMeg Ehling is in her sixth year as SAC's diving coach! She is a Springfield High graduate (1998) and was a four year Varsity swimmer and diver for the lady Spartans. She dove competively for more than ten years at the Oreland Swim Club, where she has also been coaching diving for the past five summer seasons. She currently attends Jefferson University and is working towards her masters degree in Occupational Therapy. Maura Gillies - Swimming This is Maura's first year with SAC as an assistant coach, yet she swam for SAC throughout her grade school and high school years. This past summer she was assistant swim coach at Oreland Swim Club and is currently an assistant volleyball coach at Upper Dublin High School. She attended Penn State University where she obtained a bachelor's degree in mathematics and her teaching certification. She currently is teaching mathematics at Gwynedd Mercy Academy. Denise Quigg - Pre-Team Coach Denise is in her sixth year with the pre-team and assistant to the girls swim team. Denise is a registered nurse and also an assistant coach at Flourtown Country Club.
Tom Shiels - Diving Coach Tom is a 2009 graduate of LaSalle High School where he earned Varisty status for the diving team. Tom also was a member of the State champion hockey team for LaSalle where he played goalie. |
