SAC USA Program 2007-08

The goals of SAC’s USA Swimming program are the continued improvement of swimmers’ abilities and races.  The USA swimming program is an optional program that is geared for the athlete who wants to make an increased commitment to the sport of swimming, with 4 practices a week strongly encouraged.  USA practices follow the end of the SAC’s regular swimming practices in early February and last for approximately 4 weeks.  These USA practices, with a smaller number of swimmers, allows for increased personal attention from the coaches.  SAC’s USA swimmers will attend competitive, invitational style meets from November through March, letting them improve racing skills and lead to faster times.

These meets are different and in addition to SAC’s regular Suburban Aquatic League meets.  An overnight meet will allow swimmers to see what swimming could offer them in the future.  Although it is preferred that swimmers register for this program at the fall registration, swimmers may register later in the season to swim at the USA swim practices.  Late registration may result in swimmers being unable to swim at some or all of the USA meets.

Who can join:  Any 9+ swimmer who is ready to commit to more serious practices.  See SAC Head coaches if interested.
